Abdullah Abulhoul, Managing Director of Domus Group, said:
This year, the Media and Marketing Show will provide a new direction to the industry through events highlighting its enormous growth potential. These events are based on Domus led research to identify areas that will further enhance Dubai as a platform for regional media development."
'We have also incorporated several innovative features this year, such as the Talent Zone with the support of the Dubai Press Club. Such initiatives will help identify talent and strengthen the regional industry by nurturing more media professionals.'
Dubai Press Club's Talent Zone initiative marks the increasing demand for regional skills in the media and communication sector.
Mona Al Marri, Chairperson of Media Services Group, parent company for Dubai Press Club, said: 'While the industry has registered significant growth over the past few years, we are highly conscious of the future challenges. MMS 2007 is an appropriate forum to discuss such issues and seek ways to promote communication through partnership.
'Our Talent Zone concept demonstrates the region's capability to promote skills in the media and communications on par with global standards. The annual networking forum for media professionals will considerably benefit fresh graduates keen to take up media as their future career.'
MMS 2007 will host workshops and debates to further promote an understanding of the media, communications and marketing industry in the region. The workshops will focus on trends and technologies in broadcasting, publishing, outdoor advertising, media production, marketing, events, public relations, advertising and entertainment in the Middle East.
In addition, MMS 2007 will also serve as an ideal networking platform for photographers, freelance film makers, copywriters, illustrators, graphic designers and website designers to showcase their skills and interact with the region's most influential industry leaders, senior officials, media planners and buyers and advertising agencies.
